 Not so much a game but more a pocket-sized synthesizer, the KORG DS-10 is an amazing application that allows budding composers to create and perform music on the fly.
Children probably need to be musically inclined to have real fun with this but if they are, they’ll be hooked!
Users can create totally realistic musical notes and drum lines using the on-screen touch keyboard and drum pads and there’s a full mixer to polish up the sound and add extra effects. The sound can be heard through headphones or the DS can be hooked up to a real amplifier for a quality room-filling sound.
This is really one of those head-shaking break-through products – allowing musical accomplishments in a small handheld device that would have required an entire recording studio not that long ago.
